This is me

Hello, I'm Alex Storrer—I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. My journey into the world of fluid mechanics began during my undergraduate studies at Northeastern University, where I discovered how profoundly fluids influence our daily lives. This realization sparked a deep interest, driving me to tackle complex fluid dynamics challenges ever since.

Over the past six years, I've gained hands-on experience in experimental research, developed computational tools for fluid analysis, and applied my knowledge to real-world problems. I take pride in owning projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they produce meaningful results.

My journey has not only deepened my understanding of fluid mechanics but also honed my intuition for solving problems with profound impact. Now, as I embark on my Ph.D. at Stanford in Fall 2024, I’m eager to explore the mysteries of turbulent fluid mechanics and contribute solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges.

If you're curious to learn more about my experiences and work, feel free to explore the other pages on my website or take a look at my resume.

I am also a dual citizen of the United States and Germany and am proficient in  German language. Check out some projects I created in my German coursework at Northeastern University. This website is also available in German; click the German flag icon here or at the top of the page.
